Overview
Even after an election has been published and voting has begun, administrators can still invite additional members. This allows organizations to include voters who were missed initially or added later, without restarting or modifying the election.
This guide explains how to add and invite members after an election is already live.
When You Would Use This
Adding members after publishing is useful when:
- A member was accidentally left out of the original upload
- New members join after voting has started
- Contact information is updated mid-election
- Additional participants need to be included
UrVote allows invitations to be sent at any time while the election remains active.
Step-by-Step: Adding Members After Publishing
- Open your election from the Elections dashboard.
- Navigate to the Results tab.
- Select More to open additional election options.
- Choose Send Invitations.
- In the invitation panel, enter the email address of the member you want to invite.
- Select Add to include them in the invitation list.
- Confirm the list of recipients.
- Click Send Invitations.
The newly added member will immediately receive their voting invitation and access code.
What Happens Next?
Once invitations are sent:
- The member receives the same secure access link as all other voters.
- They can participate normally in the election.
- Votes submitted will appear in results in real time.
Existing votes and election data remain unaffected.
